The Authority’s pavilion showcases Dubai’s vibrant cultural and creative landscape through art and heritage.
Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has announced its participation in the Emirati Women’s Forum 2026, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council; President of Dubai Women Establishment; wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
Dubai Culture’s participation as the forum’s cultural partner reflects its celebration of Emirati women and recognition of their influential contributions to the nation’s development and progress. It also aligns with the Authority’s commitment to supporting women and strengthening their presence across the cultural and creative sectors.
Taking place at Madinat Jumeirah on 27 August, the Forum will bring together a distinguished group of government officials and executive leaders for a series of panel discussions, inspiring experiences, and strategic conversations highlighting the pioneering role of Emirati women in leading vital sectors. These discussions will explore their impact across government, diplomacy, the workforce, family and society, culture, and entrepreneurship, reflecting the UAE leadership’s vision and longstanding commitment to empowering women.
At its pavilion, Dubai Culture will host Emirati artist Aisha Obaid Al Shamsi, a Person of Determination who will share her inspiring creative journey through her artwork, From Roots to Summits, which celebrates Emirati women, their achievements, their role in safeguarding cultural heritage, and their contribution to shaping the future. Her participation reflects the Authority’s commitment to empowering People of Determination, nurturing their talents, and supporting their contribution to the creative sector.
The programme will also feature Our Museums…Our Stories: From the Community, for the Community, a talk by Maryam Muzaffar Ahli, Director of the Collections and Art Evaluation Department at Dubai Culture. She will outline the Museums and Heritage Sector’s approach to preserving, interpreting, and activating its collections, while highlighting Al Shindagha Museum and the upcoming Al Fahidi Fort Museum. The session will also explore the recently completed rehabilitation of Al Fahidi Fort and how both museums preserve and bring Dubai’s heritage to life for local and international audiences.
Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, affirmed that the Authority’s participation in the Emirati Women’s Forum 2026 reflects the spirit of integration among Dubai Government entities and their shared commitment to advancing national initiatives that empower women while celebrating their achievements and contributions to the nation’s development. She stressed that this aligns with Dubai Culture’s responsibility to support national talent and foster an enabling environment that empowers women to continue innovating and contributing, while strengthening their role in the growth of the cultural and creative ecosystem.
