Polish Designer Halina Bartoszek Rosa Wins Silver Trophy at the Global Women Changing the World Awards 2025

Halina Bartoszek Rosa is proud of her accomplishments. Over the past 12 months, she received the Bronze Trophy in the Women in Media category (2024), the Silver Award for Sustainability at the Women Changing the World Awards 2025 gala, implemented international cultural initiatives through her foundation, and created sustainable fashion collections inspired by the cultural heritage of Poland’s Podhale region and Sweden’s Dalarna. She attributes her success to a passion for ethical design, cultural heritage, and empowering others through education and collaboration.

She remains committed to driving positive change through her art and envisions the future creation of a global platform connecting artists, designers, and changemakers around the core values of sustainability, cultural preservation, and creative education.

The Women Changing the World Awards, presented by Oprah Winfrey’s favorite guest Dr. Tererai Trent and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, honor women who are making extraordinary achievements in fields such as sustainability, leadership, innovation, education, advocacy, and humanitarian work. These prestigious global awards recognize women creating real change and aim to inspire others to grow, take action, and contribute to building a better world.

“These extraordinary women are here to awaken hearts, reclaim dreams, and inspire women across the globe to unite and forge a brighter path for all. The rise of women is the awakening of everyone,” said Dr. Tererai Trent, visionary and founder of the awards.

Halina Rosa is also a previous Women Changing the World Awards 2024 winner in the Women in Media category.

Halina Bartoszek Rosa expressed her gratitude and deep emotion upon receiving the Silver award in the Sustainability category:

“This award is not only a recognition of my personal journey as a designer and educator but also a tribute to the importance of ethical fashion, slow design, and cultural preservation in our shared future,” said Halina Bartoszek Rosa.

“Sustainability is not a trend — it is a necessity, and this award amplifies the message that design can be a powerful force for good.”

As a fashion and textile designer inspired by the cultural heritage of Poland’s Podhale and Sweden’s Dalarna, Halina merges hand-painted textiles with eco-friendly production methods. Her work embodies circular design principles — minimizing waste, using natural materials, and preserving local craftsmanship. As a student of Nordiska Textilakademin in Borås, Sweden, and an educator at Sensus, she is dedicated to promoting sustainability, especially among creative women.

“The work of other finalists in my category was incredibly inspiring, especially the women I met at the gala. Their passion, innovation, and commitment to changing the world through purposeful action are a powerful reminder that women are the architects of a new, compassionate future.”

In addition to her design work, Halina leads educational and cultural projects through her foundation and publications. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of DESIGNER magazine in Stockholm, dedicated to lovers of culture, art, and design. She also founded the Artmedia Podhale cultural platform, which promotes local artists, artisans, and producers who contribute to preserving tradition and unique regional heritage while caring for the natural environment. Halina is also a co-organizer of PADIC – Pol Art Design Impact Culture, a series of international initiatives promoting sustainable cultural development. PADIC serves as a creative platform that builds bridges between art, design, and culture, highlighting their conscious impact on society. The project targets the global Polish diaspora and the international creative community, celebrating Polish artists and cultural heritage on the global stage.

Dr. Trent’s vision for Women Changing the World Awards is to encourage women worldwide to reclaim their sacred dreams and unite globally to pave the way for a more inclusive and sustainable world.

“Change begins with one decision, one voice, and the courage to act in alignment with our values,” says Halina Bartoszek Rosa.

“To those dreaming of making a difference — start small, but dream big. Our culture, our land, and our future generations are worth it.”
