Who is Lilia Luján?
She is a self-taught and multidisciplinary Mexican visual artist, active in the visual arts since 1995. Specialized in painting, alternative sculpture, modular minimalist murals, installations, thematic digital collections of social art, design, graphics and illustration. In addition to teaching workshops and collaborating in various social projects with vulnerable groups. 25 directed thematic murals and participation in more than 400 national and international exhibitions. She is currently enthusiastically preparing the design and logistics of a series of international traveling exhibitions, which she plans to hold throughout 2025 and 2026, commemorating 30 years of uninterrupted career in the wonderful world of art. She will present a small sample of her work, including wall installations of paper and textiles, fashion, projections, among others. As well as the presentation of her recent books: Art and social consciousness, a contemporary vision of committed art, and Luján, 30. Special Anniversary Edition.

Defining Lilia Luján’s work and artistic career in a few words is no easy task. Classifying her as a multidisciplinary, multifaceted or polyhedral artist would be a cliché that would not fully define her, since Luján is, in a few words, all that and more.
