The Liguria Design Cultural Association, based in Chiavari (Genoa), was founded by a group of professionals with decades of experience and a passion for design. After years of discussion, the founding members decided to join forces to share their vision, connections, and opportunities to promote the world of design in Liguria, their home and workplace.
The association aims to promote design in Liguria both nationally and internationally, as well as supporting creativity, arts, craftsmanship, and production. It facilitates online and in-person activities, events, exhibitions, workshops, and other initiatives that contribute to the professional and cultural development of the design sector.
Liguria Design supports all sectors connected to Liguria, fostering a community of designers across the provinces of Imperia, Savona, Genoa, and La Spezia. Its goal is to unite and showcase Ligurian design locally, nationally, and internationally. The association is not limited to a single design sector; it engages students, professionals, schools, research centers, companies, press, retailers, and all stakeholders in the sector. Liguria Design organizes events that support local territories while maintaining an international perspective, creates workshops for schools, develops exhibitions, and awards prizes to outstanding Ligurian talents, offering visibility to emerging designers and businesses.
The Tigullio Design District (TDD) is the flagship initiative of the association. It is the first international design event in Liguria and has established itself as a platform that combines the region’s natural beauty and lifestyle with the promotion of design. TDD provides a meeting space for inclusion, collaboration, and dialogue among local and international design communities.

Davide Conti – President of Liguria Design | Creative Director of Tigullio Design District
Davide Conti has over 20 years of experience in the design sector, both in Italy and internationally. He spent more than 10 years working in China, where he runs a consulting company focused on interior design, creative direction, promotion of Made in Italy, and the Italian design system through exhibitions, communication events, and innovative creative formats. He also teaches at several Chinese universities and schools, serves as a juror for international design competitions, and founded the Italian Design Masterclass.
